Application Iron ladles, steel ladles, runners, etc. as back up insulator or in small ladles as working face material. In the aluminium industry as patching or repair material in a wide range of applications: ladles, runners, burner blocks, etc.
Temperature 1700ºC
Grain Size Distribution < 1 mm.
Chemical Analysis Al2O3 - > 80%, SiO2 - 15%
Density 1.750kg/m3
Storage In a dry place, 4 to 6 months. The storage temperature must be between 5 and 30 ºC

Drying and Heating In each case, follow specific heating up and sintering schedule. As a general rule: keep at 90 –100 ºC during 4-6 hours depending the quantity applied. Then heat up to 150 ºC and hold for 6 hours. Cool down and using a brush, seal the holes with INSEP
